Chris Levine Joins Farm Credit Bank of Texas
AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin-based Farm Credit Bank of Texas (FCBT) has hired Chris M. Levine as vice president, senior capital markets officer. In this position, he will manage a portfolio of national and multinational agribusiness accounts.

The FCBT capital markets group’s loan volume has experienced 156 percent growth over the past three years. The group provides capital and liquidity for food and agribusiness firms, rural utilities and rural communications companies.
Prior to joining Farm Credit Bank of Texas, Levine most recently worked for Compass Bancshares in Austin, Texas, as a portfolio manager for the company’s structured lending group, handling an $85 million portfolio of asset-based lines of credit. From 1995 to 2007, he worked at Bank of America in Dallas, Texas, primarily as a senior agency management officer where he managed a $10 billion portfolio of syndicated credits for the gaming industry. He also held the positions of team leader for that bank’s payment control group, as well as being a credit services representative.
In addition, Levine received several awards during his 11-year tenure at Bank of America for exceptional client service and leadership.
Levine received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998.
